Satan would love for us to buy into the myth that you have to be good to get to heaven.  Then we would spend all of our time trying to do good and miss the relationship and grace that Christ truly offers.  The reality is, none of us is good enough, or could ever earn salvation; salvation is a free gift that must simply be received.
